ARPA Conference

Speaker Requirements

Before you submit a proposal, please note these requirements to speak at an ARPA event:

  • Presenting at ARPA events is a benefit of membership. All speakers are required to hold an ARPA membership. You may submit a proposal if you are not an active member, but if a speaker of an accepted proposal does not hold membership at the time of acceptance, they must obtain membership before the date of the event.
  • All presenters must register for the conference.
  • By submitting a proposal, you agree to present on whichever day your session is scheduled if accepted.

What We Are Looking For

We’re looking for sessions that have a clear focus, practical takeaways, and learning outcomes participants can apply right away. Submissions should offer relevant content tied to specific roles or parks and recreation settings, including aquatics, hospitality and tourism, inclusive recreation, leadership, maintenance operations, current trends, technology, and ways parks and recreation supports professional and student development.

We also value sessions that are well facilitated and encourage meaningful audience engagement.

Session Formats

General Education Focused Presentation Informative presentations on a focused topic.
Panel Discussions Multiple Perspectives Conversations with multiple perspectives led by a facilitator.
Roundtables Collaborative Discussion Collaborative discussions on parks and recreation trends.

Proposal Details

When submitting a proposal, please include a session title, description, target audience, session format, and learning objectives.

Submit your proposal by July 31, 2026 in order to be considered to present at this year’s conference.
