Proper training and education is crucial to successfully operating and maintaining any pool, water park or aquatic facility. That’s where the Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification comes in.  The AFO certification will provide you and your staff with the skills necessary to run a safe and efficient aquatic facility. Furthermore, this national certification lasts for five years and signifies to the public that you are committed to providing the highest level of service and professional excellence.

This two-day pool operator course trains candidates on the most important mechanical, chemical, operations, and risk management aspects of all pool and waterpark facilities. Topics covered in the AFO course include:

  • Water testing and treatment
  • Design considerations
  • Facility management and safety
  • Risk management
  • Hot tub and spa operation
